With the method explained in this forum would it be possible to improve, even slightly, the eye area? Or is surgery necessary?

Hard mewing is absolutely not worth it. The forces applied to the maxilla only work if applied constantly, all day long. With hard mewing, this can only be done with the posterior third on the soft palate, because the anterior third won't be able to press with sufficient force consistently. There's a high risk of asymmetry. This hasn't been studied at all. I'm 17. Just 45 days were enough for my face to collapse. I had perfect facial harmony, I literally hit all the right marks, but I didn't know that, so I decided to do this damn mewing, for some unknown reason. I chose hard mewing for quick changes. I pressed for 16 hours every day with the posterior third. I was deeply depressed the entire time, and decided to do it all spontaneously, put my tongue on the roof of my mouth, and forgot about it. I'm so stupid. Over this time, my face has become deformed: my nose has drooped, my upper lip has become thinner, my eyes have become rounder, they've lost their support, my face has become distorted, and my eyebrows have drooped. The way people treat me has gradually changed, and I've reached the point where wherever I go, I'm looked at with disdain, and old acquaintances avoid me. For some reason, I've become more feminine. I look at my old face and realize I had enormous potential, but I've ruined it. It's irreversible. Literally no method can restore it to its previous state: pressing with the front part is risky, thumb-pulling is impossible to do all day long, and chewing damages your teeth if you do it every day. There are no orthodontic devices that can reverse the jaw. The only "solution" is a le forts 2/3 but these are incredibly expensive, risky surgeries with a high mortality rate, which you won't be able to achieve, and the results won't always be satisfactory. It upsets me so much that in this time I've developed deformities that only Le Fort can fix, in just 40 damn days. I realize that just 1.5 months ago my quality of life was much better. Just 1.5 months between enormous potential and... the end of my former life. This has reduced me from a potential 7/10 to a potential 4/10. I realize that I'll most likely never hold a girl's hand again, I have no friends, they don't talk to me. I'll most likely never again receive the respect I could. Literally everyone I come into contact with now treats me with a degree of disrespect. My appearance is now effeminate and ugly. And this is irreversible in no way, you will never return to your previous state. I checked my profile and full-face all day, and I can say with absolute certainty that all the changes are real, and I am IN NO WAY imagining things. 40 days... Honestly, I don't know what to do next. I really don't know. Don't repeat my mistakes, please, guys. I beg you. Listen to me, you who want to start doing this. It's absolutely not worth it. When it comes to the upper jaw, which is responsible for the structure of the entire face, you have to be EXTREMELY careful. I'm an idiot. Don't let yourself ruin your life the way I did.

I’m about to buy a 3-way/Y-plate Schwarz expander, but I’m unsure which design is better for my goals.
I want to improve my tongue posture with mewing, fix my bite, and hopefully improve my facial aesthetics. My biggest concern is that a full-palate expander might feel too bulky, block my tongue, and make breathing harder. The more open horseshoe design looks more comfortable, but I’ve read that full-palate expanders create more real maxillary expansion, while horseshoe versions cause more dental tipping.
A good friend of mine bought a horseshoe expander around six years ago and had good results, but I’m not sure if that was from the expander itself, from mewing, or from both. I’m also wondering whether his results were true skeletal expansion or mostly tooth movement. If there was skeletal change, did it come from the expander alone, or from the expander plus the ability to maintain better tongue posture because of the open palate design?
If anyone has experience or advice choosing between a full-palate vs a horseshoe removable expander especially for someone whose goals include tongue posture and facial improvement I’d really appreciate the help.
