Found this while researching jaw surgery. The improvement in her eyes is absolutely dramatic and I'm wondering if she's just "squinching" in the after photo to bring her lower lid up, or if the maxilla advancement has given her more eye support. She's has upper and lower jaw surgery, plus some rhino.
EDIT: I forgot to say that I realize she's looking up in the before photo which would give her more sclera show, it's just that it looks like her eyes are much narrower in the after.
Her teeth are in a much better arch. It is a good example of what goes to make a pleasing smile. Things quite remote from the work done are affected positively, such as the outer corners of her eyes.
Is it the same person? where is the mark on her neck?

You can see a scar on the neck. She had that removed.
literally just different angles
Yes its a fact that well developed Cheekbones also create good looking slim Eyes. But her Cheekbones and her Eyes are the same on both Pictures. As you said in the left picture she is looking up. The only Things changing in her Face are her Nose and her Jaw/Chin
I am also interested in what the effect the maxilla has on eyes. Does good undereye support from the maxilla mean if you attempt to feel the area under your eye, you should only be able to feel bone and not be able to feel your eye, just like how a good brow ridge covers your area above your eye?

It doesn't say which type of upper jaw surgery she had, but judging by the cephalometric x-rays I am sure it's lefort 1.
And looking at the lateral profile pictures, it's clear her eye support and cheek line did not change.

Under eye skin probably brightened up from improved airway, better sleep, etc.

- Upper Jaw Osteotomy
- Lower Jaw Osteotomy
- Rhinoplasty
- Contouring of the mandibular body

This helps. Her teeth have changed in angle as well as the breadth of the arch in the frontal photo. So some orthodontic work too? LeFort is just moving the whole maxilla forward?
I note that her maxilla was so recessed that her second molar bit down behind her lower second molar. I thought that whatever the recession somehow they would line up. Mine do. Is her situation common I wonder?
There appears to be an effect on the eyes in the lateral photos. The upper eyelid is shorter. I agree that the cheeks are the same and that any impression frontally that they are not is likely a result of the rhinoplasty. I had commented on the frontal photos that the outer corners of her eyes seemed altered.
I wonder about a recent comment by Greensmoothies on a Lookism person’s after results from having jaw surgery with the idea that an improved and widened bite creates change up into the face quite rapidly including increase in bone mass.
I am left thinking that changes in the face resulting from changes in the jaw are more complicated than we can know, often not local and through a chain of changes that we cannot trace. A dispiriting thought if one wants to know how to bring about specific desired changes.

She had braces in the before x-ray. After the surgery moved her lower part of the maxilla forward her front teeth were tucked back into a normal position and angulation.
Lefort type 3 does move the whole maxilla, not type 1 which she had.

Plus the makeup and pleasant warm tone of the lighting.

Theres an article on the Weston Price foundation that details how bad nutrition affects teeth development and subsequently other facial features including the eyes.
The entire floor of the orbit or eye sockets, where the visual globes or the eyeballs are housed, is made up of the upper jaw or maxilla. When the maxilla is not well developed, and the face is long and skinny, the eye sockets do not develop properly; the eyeballs cannot develop as a sphere, but may take on a football shape. The resultant developmental pattern can create various ophthalmic issues such as astigmatism or myopia. We can treat astigmatism with corrective lenses but the treatment does not really address the root of the issues.
I have both astigmatism and myopia ugh
Wow, great improvement
The healthy under-eye look could be from better rest. Her aiway behind her mandible is good in both photos (probably better in the before)... because of her forward chin placement. However... the airway is 3-D. It goes all the way from the nose and down. Her dental arch is broader up top in the after. To get this widening, the palate drops. This allows for more breathing room over the palate as the palatal vault drops. Depending on her airway, she may also be a little better rested. Additionally, make-up does wonders, so hard to tell. What you're seeing, though, is better eye support. The eyes are affected by the maxillary placement. The maxilla advanced.. Whoever did the surgery did a phenominal job. I'm not sure what it'd look like later... typically, eyes retrude (appear squintier) with forward maxillary advancement. The only guy that keeps track of eyes and forward placement of maxilla that I know is LVI (Las Vegas Institute)'s owner. He is pretty awesome, even if his arches end up quite narrow. He's kind of not willing to hear opinions outside his own and seems super threatened by Vivos. And, I'd say rightfully so. DNA/Vivos is the big winner... except for one thing. I may need to patent and get an edge on them. I can't believe nobody is thinking deep enough in this space!
We really need to get the word out about mewing so more people can avoid these massive surgeries sheesh
@odys hard to tell with the different makeup.
She has wings in the second photo. Could you elaborate?
