Hey everyone,

I’ve been fascinated with the idea of mewing for a little over sixth months now and recently discovered this forum. 

I believe I am too recessed to properly mew. I am unable to breathe while mewing due to my tongue blocking my airway completely. As a result, I believe my only option is some sort of palatal expander. I have a 34 MM IMW and a little bit of an overbite, and it seems as though a palatal expander would fix both of these issues & allow me to eventually mew properly.   

After doubt some research, the DNA/Vivos appliance seems to be my best bet. I was curious if anyone on this forum has completed DNA appliance treatment, as I do have a few reservations about starting it myself. I have read some mixed reviews and I really want to be sure that I am making the best possible decision. I think I am a pretty decent looking guy as is, and I’d hate for the expander to somehow make me look worse.
