Hey, guys. I've been mewing the right way for a while now, I think a few months at least. I went from 37mm to 41mm IWM and I've recently noticed that my upper U is asymmetric, is that normal at all? I'm pretty sure it was asymmetric before mewing as well but should I try and mew in a certain direction or just let things balanced out? Does every person high a slightly asymmetric mouth? It's not really that noticeable just like 1 or 2 mm difference.

Also at what IWM should I stop my face already looks way wider, it doesn't look more attractive though just more mature and natural I guess. It's kind of weird I'd expect to have broader jaw but it looks like the whole face got wider, even the eyes further from each other so most people don't notice the change.

Asymmetric in terms of width, height or cant? It could be that your increased facial definition now highlights the asymmetry that already existed before you even began mewing, but it's of course also possible that you have been mewing asymmetrically. The common premise is that as long as you keep mewing and improving your posture, any asymmetries will even out. The potential problem with this is that when the cranium is asymmetric, what feels like a balanced engagement of the musculature is in reality anything but. So you are going to have to learn to fight against the asymmetrical structure so that you are actively opposing the existing skeletal imbalance, instead of just contouring it with your musculature.

There is no need to worry about IMW - there is a hard limit to how wide you can expand with muscles alone.

Can you explain the cranium asymmetry and how you're supposed to counteract the force better.I think thats my assymetry because my head looks like it's tilted to one side more.

There are many ways asymmetry can manifest in, as there are almost two dozen separate bones in the skull. There is no universal explanation that I could give to you based on vague words alone. Simply put: if your head tilts to one side, tilt it to other side. In practice, of course, this is more complicated, since rotating the head to a different position will require the whole spine to re-position itself. Which is why ultimately you will want to cultivate full body awareness. For example, if you notice your left trapezius contracting in a certain way during a certain head movement, ensure that the right trapezius will also contract during the mirror opposite of that movement. You will notice that in order for the right trapezius to start working correctly, you will have to create a connection to the left side of your lower back, which in turn has to be connect to the right side of your hips, which has to be supported by a certain kind of leg rotation and so on.

The body posture consists of these spiral-like muscle chains that travel from toes to neck, generating torque along the way (for example, rotating legs outward pushes pelvis forward vs rotating legs backward pushes butt backward. These can also be mixed so that one leg rotates outward and another inward, which will cause the torso, shoulders and neck to twist in a certain way as they follow the torque generated by the legs). Anyone who has postural asymmetry generates stronger torque to one direction than another, resulting in subtle corkscrew-like rotation that causes the head tilt, uneven shoulders, hips etc.

Thanks for the response.            @ progress You've helped me a lot.my mom used to tell me that my right feet was rotated outwards than my left and o guess its been like that my whole life.other thing is when i push my posterior third of my tongue up on my palate I feel certain bones crackling and muscle contracting on my right trapeziod.I think this all is connected and I dont feel this on my left side I think I found the problem of my assemytries now.Thank you so much.
