Im starting mewing and I still  have some insecurities about the tongue posture because there is no space enough to my tongue to fit in the top of my mouth and in this case should I just put  my tongue where it can reach? So my question is: mewing correctly will define my jawline? I mean, that skin under the jawline will disppear? I know there are muscles there and I just want to define them for now. I'm skinny and thats not a fat problem they're probably weak because I spent most part of my life mouth breathing. And one side of my jawline is more defined than the other, is there something i could do to fix that? Sorry for my english.

Good tongue posture will raise the underside of your chin, so that you have a visible jawline.

However, if you're like most of us and have poor posture in general, your face will have grown downwards and you will be jutting your chin out and have a craned neck posture to correct this. Mewing in this state will make your jawline appear tighter.

The next step of mewing though is to adopt proper posture. This means to chin tuck, and keep that as your normal head position. This will make your jawline sink, and the excess skin you have in this posture will make it look as though you have a real bad double chin until your mandible eventually comes forward and fills that skin out again. Sounds kinda morbid like that, but it's the stage I'm currently in.

My challenge in the current moment is that my digastric muscles (under the chin) have grown from my tongue constantly pushing against my palate, and my right jaw is sunken further back than the left, so my right digastric muscle kinda pops out beneath my underdeveloped jawline when I mew properly, which looks kinda stupid! I'm hoping that with more mewing and trying to fix some scoliosis, this issue will work itself out.

But like a lot of things, if we want to correct the years of poor posture we have been living with, we have to be willing to look like fools for at least a few months!

- Mewing for 6+ months
- IMW: 35mm (no expansion)
- Sleep on the floor without a pillow
- Tape mouth at night
- Continue to emphasise chin-tuck/occipital drive for extended periods
- Chew Mastic Tears for 1 hour every other day
