Let's say both were easily available. How come the biobloc is said to bring the maxilla forward and up as it widens the palate, but the MSE is only said to widen the palate with no forward movement of the mid-face?

Thats Because the Biobloc has catenary wires that procline the upper incisors therby reducing the indicator Line. During the training phase a Biobloc stage 3 is used to enforce a closed mouth and tounge to palate posture. The incisors then uprigth by the root bringing the bone with it. This lengthen the Alveoulos annd the front part of the maxilla is therby higher up and more forward. The MSE has no funtionality for proclining incisors. MSE gives transversaly expansion.
