Hey everyone,

Been mewing for about 5 days now. I have a fairly well-developed jawline, but I have been mouth breathing for probably 10 years or more until I had surgery for a deviated septum.

It still wasn't great for many years after until recently, I started Butekyo breathing (I heard Mike mention supporting it).

I'm 35, but if changes is possible, I think I'm a good candidate for mewing?

I can get the posterior third up and create a strong suction hold. There's just a LOT of discomfort. But I'm prepared to deal with it.

There's something about it that also feels kinda "nice" if you get what I mean. It feels right.

Just a lot of pressure up on the pallet, and pressing out on the molars (I have a narrow pallet). I can't see how this wouldn't expand the pallet over time or at least tip the teeth out.

I swear I can feel small changes already. And before you roast me, Mike has said he could feel a difference after 40 minutes of 'tongue chewing', and I've been doing a bit of that too whilst driving.

I also made a YouTube video on mewing. Do you think it's a fair assessment? I tried to take a neutral stance. Click here for the YouTube vid

Thanks
Alex
