I’ve (F22) been mewing for about 6 months and I’ve noticed a gap forming in my front two teeth’s. In the beginning I was on and off hard mewing but last couple months I’ve just been suction holding and diligently chin tucking. I was wondering what this could lead to and if there are anything I should be aware of? I also don’t have a recessed chin/mandible to begin with and it’s my maxilla (Mainly cheekbones) that I’m hoping to improve

diastema probably. is your palatal suture splitting? that's a good thing

@krollic

there’s definitely a line on my palate but you see I’m not sure if I’ve always had this line? I stupidly didn’t start taking photos of my palate until I was two months in :( so I really can’t determine if I always had this line or if it’s something that I formed as a result of mewing. Is it common for people to have a line on their palate in general though?

@yellowred I would say it is normal to have that indented line in your midpalatal suture area that you can feel with your tongue... I couldn't find anything on a quick google search but I have the indent anyways!

Can we please see a photo of your diastema?
