I practise mewing since january but it is only the last 2 months that i have really mastered this with great swallow and lip seal.I had a fixed retainer for about 5 months(before i had a hawley)and recently i noticed that it had gone away from my fourth upper teeth.Because it was uncomfortable i decided to remove the rest with my fingers.Whed i did this i found I could mew far easier.I used to focus on great lip seal and molars in near contact and the tongue automatically alway wented up to the best position including the back tongue. Now,without the fixed retainer i noticed it is much easier to keep my molars in near contact with lip sealed.Previously I was feeling like sth hampered this.Like there was some contradictory forces but i noticed improvements even with the retainer.

1)Is it possible that the fixed retainer was affecting the mewing progress and the forces of mewing resulted in the fixed retainer to detach?

2)If i am confident for my oral posture is it guaranteed that i will keep my teeth straight and propably get some intercanine expansion

What should i do?My age is 16 and my intermollar distance is 37 i think.

I guess it's possible that expansion from tongue posture disrupted the fixed retainer or, perhaps more likely, the cement holding it in place was dislodged by the tongue, lower teeth, food, etc. If you've mastered good oral posture, including during sleep, you shouldn't experience relapse (especially after 5+ months of stabilization), but that's up to your discretion.
