Hello, I'm 20 year old male and I've been mewing for about 3-4 months. I'd like to say I've made some progress, fixed my posture, saw a small shift in my incisors in first 2 months and some palate expansion. When I started my upper incisors were completely overlapped by my lower incisors. After about 2 months I could actually see my lower incisors since they had moved about 2mm, but after that they have been staying in the same spot and it makes me wonder what I changed that stopped my progress.

Anyways, I have self diagnosed skeletal deep bite. When I bite my molars down my side profile looks horrible and makes my face look short. I've read a lot of stuff about mewing with overbites / deep bites and there's so many mixed opinions that I'm really overwhelmed. Some people say to keep your incisors together or else your deep bite will worsen even more, others say to keep your molars together and your teeth should align overtime. At the moment I'm not doing either, just trying to focus on maintaining good posture, keeping the tongue on the roof of the mouth and letting the jaw rest in its natural position. But If I want to swallow correctly I have to either bite down my incisors or molars.

Which takes me to my question: When I swallow should I bite down with my molars or incisors? Is deep bite fixable with mewing or is surgery my only option? I'd love to hear you guys' thoughts on this. Thanks!
