Hello all,

When I raise the tongue to the roof of the mouth, the lower jaw starts clenching unconsciously and masseter muscle gets involved, that is resulting in enlargement of the masster muscle, something I don't want. How can I raise the tongue without engaging the masseter muscle

When you engage the tongue, are you simply pushing upwards or are you using tongue suction as well? In my case, it requires a slight initial push to get the tongue up but once it sticks to my palate through suction, force is no longer required (or minimally required).

Hello Elwyn, thank you for responding.

I try to use suction, but looks like I am also using force involuntarily.  But I will try to follow your technique of using a bit of force initially, and then leaving it to suction. Let me see, how it goes.
