Is anyone afraid that this might happen to you, using an acrylic expander? Teeth might come out as a result of dental tipping because the use of an acrylic expanders/DNA (the ones she is using is a mimic). This is of course there is no surrounding bone anymore (with her it is very thin)

However, please note that she was turning the expander on Monday and Friday (Schwarz appliance) and then every THREE days (with the DNA), not compared to what Mew is prescribing: semi-rapid expansion SME (1 mm/week). The forces of SME on the teeth and gums are much greater, which causes the palate to expand, with minimal dental tipping of course.

Based on the knowledge I know the frequency she is expanding, causes her to have (significant) dental tipping.

Has anyone (or know someone who has) had a stable/successful expansion with an acrylic expander, with minimal dental tipping?

Because this has frightened me a bit, since I am using one myself.

Yes, I used my acrylic expander under the supervision of my orthodontis to expand the upper palate 3mm, plus 1.5mm with the braces. My expansion rate was slow 1mm per month. The molars did not tip or do anything weird.

Yes, but the only way she knew was through CBCT.  Perhaps a panoramic would also show.  She never knew just looking at the teeth.  If it's real bad, you'll see stuff like teeth appearing longer in gums.  How could anyone know otherwise?  That's an unanswered question of mine about "Mewing" even..  are teeth coming out of bone?  I don't have any CBCT to say either way.

1 mm / week is what Bill Hang does...  (really 7/8 mm each week done... that's half a .25 turn - or 1/8 mm a day)  But remember... that's for kids.  Adults can't go as fast as kids... though 1 mm/week is on the slower side for kids.  For old-school/by the book orthodontists I usually see 1/2 mm a day or more commonly now 1/4 mm daily.  I've even heard one of the two-turns a day orthodontists say that one turn a week (1/4 mm) had a kid's teeth coming out of bone and through gums... I really honestly haven't really looked into it for adults and lack experience and expertise.  Dr. Mahony talked about it a bit... 17:07 from https://www.righttogrow.org/dr_derek_mahony .

A well experienced orthodontists does not need a CBCT for this, at least for most cases. He can visually asses the angulation of the teeth for clues and more importantly feel the roots in the gum. If the roots can be felt clearly, then there is good cause for concern and taking a CBCT or panoramic.
