How to breath through nose effectively and easily what are some methods beside proper tongue posture?
If you want to breathe through your nose... you are going to need to breathe through your nose. There is a post on pranayama(s) here. This, I have found, is the ultimate secret to success. I got arch widening, palatal drop, forward movement all at the same time. However, you want to trick your body by not doing daily. Our bodies are designed with innate pressure points. Pushing your maxilla out laterally with the tongue can possibly give movement.... but unless the mandible widens,... it is the limiting factor. If you breathe with that alternating breathing video... then what happens is that our bodies adapt! It’s like holding our breath underwater. Our bodies are able to dramatically adapt as needed. The amount of pressure needed to drop/widen palate through the nose is very small compared to from underneath. That is because the light, continuous, intermittent pressure from the nose is super potent and exceptionally powerful! This is why the top ortho minds are looking at getting outside and playing as intervention for kids! We are messed up inside, can’t get vit d through glass, leaning forward on our tablets, kids eyes are getting messed up because they’re not moving, we are killing our kids softly. Get the freak OFF the computer, get your bum to the gym or outside weather-permitting... and you tell me how many athletes have messed up faces! Yes - they can get airway injury (where it shrinks) if overdone. Exercising in the cold is dangerous as air is thin and it can hurt the airway. Every time someone says to do something healthy, it is overdone! Don’t be extreme! 30 seconds of pranayama moved my IMW a couple mm. Don’t overdo. That’s why I’ve been reticent to even share this info. Everyone here is WAY too extreme. Also, relapse happens on IMW... so you have to utilize in conjunction with mandible widening. The thing is... IMW doesn’t really matter that much (unless under 34 mm in adult) because the palatal vault is much more key to health. I believe that my palate has flattened out from pranayama. Super hard to measure this, though.
I can’t patent pranayama. There is a whole friggen support group out there. I’ve been to a breathing meeting group thing with all these people doing this. What they say is so weird - you can hardly believe it. Off drugs, out of jail, no more depression, off psychotropic meds, stoppped smoking, etc. Super unbelievable. I was crazy skeptical. My Hindu friend invited me. I was not buying it. Well, they weren’t selling anything. Air is free.
I do like exercise, though. We go to extreme lengths to not eat right and not exercise. We’ll sit for hours and days to find ways to get a nice face without going to the gym. We’ll create some weird breathing pranayama stuff... even play a musical instrument. We’ll watch these Mewing vids from a guy with a decent face. How about looking good beyond the face?! How about sexy abs or toned theighs? Sure, we can find other ways... easier ways than moving. What do you want? To have a good looking face?! Count up all the time you’ve spent. What if that was spent on getting healthy? You likely would have gotten better results by getting OFF YOUR BUTT. I met a guy reversing long face syndrome. Was doing DNA and exercised breathing through his nose. His arches were growing, creating gaps in teeth and didn’t even care. He was very pleased.
Just 1 more reason to exercise. Did we need another?
I have spent a lot of time with multiple resources trying to learn about airway/faces. Through much of what I learned on my own, completely in the dark... I have first damaged then am in the process of restoring a decent face. Mewing is what damaged my face. I’m restoring it through a number of methods... many are too dangerous to share here. I have wasted 7.5 months of my life... and have 0 to show for it. Learn from my mistake. Though my face is okay, my marriage is not, my relationships are damaged. If I just hit the gym from day 1, I would have looked better. Advancing the maxilla can cause you to gain weight, even!! I am a big believer of if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
