Can I just treat myself with the dna appliance?

I'm not going to be getting the mse procedure done until jan or feb. I looked around and came across a dental website that sells stuff and they happened to sell the dna appliance too. I was thinking, what if I just went to my blue pilled dentist and just bit down on that gooey stuff (whatever it's called) and then send the mold to the place and get them to build the appliance for me and then do it myself? Dna appliance itself cost like $250

Assuming the best, what would you do this for? Your jaws will be expanded with MSE and later your teeth will be aligned to the new palate.

Even if you got some results in the 2 month time until MSE the teeth will start moving back because they never got time to settle in. At best you won't gain anything and at worst you will complicate things and force your doctor to make you wait until your teeth stabilize.

@Abdulrahman from what I've heard, the dna is like a remodeling appliance, it widens your maxilla, I don't think it tips or moves teeth but I could be wrong. What made you think it tips teeth? Have you seen that?

I was just going to get this appliance and wear it until I get the mse procedure done. Once the mse procedure is done and if I didn't expand to 50mm imw then I'd just pop this dna appliance back in my mouth and expand away until I get to 50mm

DNA is incredible because it is shaped to fit snug on molars....

I also would be interested in the crozat!!  It pays more attention to cheekbones.  More natural aesthetic. The straight out side-to-side ones such as DNA are okay... but I wouldn't go far with them.  If I personally were an adult with issues I'd consult here:  http://www.forwardontics.com/adult.html

I'm a perfectionist, let me say up front... Continual forces (as opposed to turn key) for some reason give a better aesthetic on the nose for palatal expansion when expanding skelatally for kids.  But you also have to get the right arch shape.  It may be less of a concern for adults since the face is fairly solid.  I would highly consider a fixed appliance that would be shaped similarly to the crozat... or braces or invisalign... I think where DNA has advantage is for the forward growth... and side-to-side.  I personally wouldn't go far... though and I would tend toward going to an orthodontist (as opposed to a dentist) and I would honestly not do it as a woman without following with braces. I really like the crozat a ton, but unless it's better attached, I'd be skeptical of it doing its job, unless it was done in a very specific way (complex to explain).  For that matter... Let me show the DNA I may consider doing 24/7 (including eating as this doesn't have acrylic between teeth)... and shaving down every few weeks to allow the palate to drop... (using white chocolate kit kat bar).  Here it is:  https://www.google.com/amp/s/elitrope.wordpress.com/2016/01/05/crozat-and-dna-appliance-6-month-update/amp/  I like the new one in some ways and older one in others.  The older one forms better to molars... but the new one has no acrylic between teeth.  I would only do new if expanding the bottom molars at the same time while eating with it in.  Otherwise if the turn pressure is too great it'll flare teeth.  Thers are MANY variables, levers, considerations & I've learned many!  Super complex stuff which is why I recommend finding someone to do it.  Here's the list of DNA practictioners: <fill in link later to Vivos>.

I said move not tip your teeth. Most of the movement you will be doing with that expander is in the alveolar ridge. If successful teeth will require time to stabilize in the new position much longer than your MSE appointment.
