So i always tried to engage the posterior third of my tongue by saying words that ends with the ,,ng'' sound and then just continued to flatten the rest of my tongue against the upper palate. This way i was able to place the tip of my tongue right behind my front teeth while thinking the root is also engaged(It also felt like it was engaged).
So now i found out that another way to put the root of your tongue back up is doing the McKenzie chin tuck. When i do this the tip of my tongue begins to touch my front teeth while it feels like the ''real'' back part of my tongue is on the roof now. This got me kinda confused because when i did the first method i had definetely way more than just the tip engaged so i always thought i was good to go, which apparently isn't reality. Anyone had the same problem?
