I was wondering if ya'll knew if palate expansion would help with a slight crossbite, or if there is some other treatment for that? I have TMJ pain/ migraines that specifically originate from the same side of my face every time (right side). It also just so happens that my masseter muscle is bigger on that side, and as a result seems longer (it might even be longer in reality). I'm not entirely sure what caused this but it actually could be genetic because my mother had to have jaw surgery for a similar crossbite.

Also, just a word of caution to anyone reading, as a personal anecdote, you should NOT keep your teeth touching, but rather keep about 1-2mm of freeway space between the teeth, and be careful with hard mewing because it could exasperate TMJ pain.

P.S., I've tried chewing more on one side, didn't help.
