I just found out I was breastfeed for a total of two years. From what I read on this site, that would make me able to rest the tongue on the roof of my mouth naturally. However, that did not occur and I mouthbreathed through my childhood. I just recently figured out that I had a tongue tie. Would things have different if my tongue tie was caught when I was a baby?
How is it possible that you breastfed for 2 full years with a tongue tie? Because it usually stops infants from breastfeeding and makes it painful for the mother as the infants tries to bite down hard to compensate for the weak tongue.
Perhaps you have a mild form of tongue tie? Mind you it's becoming a trend now to diagnose people with tongue tie right and left without that being the case.
My guess is that if you mouth breath most likely you have a nasal breathing problem that caused you to open your mouth to breath. That probably wrecked havoc on your face as it did for this kid.
