Has anyone noticed this in before-afters of palatal widening. Does mouth increase in width or not really?
30 yo, need to expand palate, move maxilla upward and forward, reduce gonial angle.
The actual hole is probably going to stay the same but the way the mouth/lips wraps around the face definitely changes. I’ve looked at plenty of before and afters and the lips often look plumper and more pronounced and the smile much wider because more of it is presented up and forward rather than draped down and around the sides if that makes sense.
Yes because your mandible can come forward more. A smile with a forward mandible is wider than one with the mandible pulled back
