My palate is far too narrow to fit my whole tongue - intermolar distance is measured at 30mm. I am looking to use devices to expand it, and I have a few questions.
Also, I have noticeable asymmetry - my left side (mandible and zygo) is developed and my right side isn't. My jaw is misaligned a good cm to the left. I am looking to get mandibular advancement surgery and chin wings in the future to fix this but at the moment I think it would be wise to expand my palate first.
1) What will an expansion device do to my asymmetries? Will it make it worse since my whole jaw is misaligned?
2) What should I do about my mandibular arch? Shouldn't I expand it along with my palate simultaneously?
if your jaw is misaligned its likely not just your jaw, as you said its asymmetric, and expanding will only get you so far and you will have to be careful especially if one side is more expanded than the other as it could make it worse. You will very much need a professionals opinion.

op i have the same exact problem one side the palatal is way narrower and the jaw is narrower too... can we fix that using an expander or braces??? will the upper and lower jaw move along with the teeth or is it just flaring??? plz someone answer..
edit: i think Dr.Mike Mew mentioned that in one of his videos, if the cause of the asymmetry is dental then it's possible to correct it using an expander.

@Apollo said that it has slightly improved his symettry. The least developped side tend to be easier to move, until both sides become even. In case of a cranial sidebend, maybe the ALF appliance might be what you need: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/47631855_Correction_of_dental_and_cranial_sidebend_with_ALF
