I know they are somewhat different, but curious whether anybody here thinks they are interchangeable and/or could compliment each other?

I do think they can compliment each other, but they are not interchangeable. I do both, though facial yoga far more casually than myofunctional therapy. I mainly follow Shape Your Face.

I look at facial yoga like working out on your own or getting a personal trainer, while myofunctional therapy is physical therapy, if that makes any sense.

I also should mention that myofunctional therapy works on tongue strength and dexterity, correct swallowing patterns, resting posture, and general use of muscles to help correct dysfunction.

Facial yoga is more about building face muscles as a way to counteract aging. There is overlap, though! I forget her name, but there's a woman who started her own program after using facial yoga to get her face symmetrical again after a car accident. But it's clear that facial yoga doesn't deal with skull development, mainly just muscle.

I agree but in my experience, the sensations and results I get from myofunctional therapy are vastly different than from facial yoga. I did the Carolyn Facial Fitness program for three months in which I did see change, but it was change to muscle. Without a doubt in my mind oral posture and myofunctional therapy created different results, but I have benefited from both.

It seems to me that there is still something similar between these two concepts, but I would not put them on the same list because feelings and feelings, as already noted above, differ very much from each other. I would prefer tantric yoga, which I have been practicing for the past few weeks between work and after I Wake up. This perfectly cleanses my thoughts of negative influences and I feel much better. I found out about this in an article on yogapractice.com and since then I feel much freer doing tantric yoga, it is a great pastime and I feel that doing this I invest and invest time and benefit in myself

Could you kindly link the face yoga you're referring to? Is it her? https://www.youtube.com/c/DanielleCollins-TheFaceYogaExpert/videos

I saw your post while looking for something myself. Both myofunctional therapy has benefits, so it depends on what you are looking for. Facial yoga can be a fun way to exercise those facial muscles and keep your skin looking fresh. Giving yourself a mini workout can be pretty relaxing. On the other hand, myofunctional therapy focuses more on improving oral function and alignment, which can be great for things like breathing and jaw issues. I believe it’s essential to consider what you need most. Facial yoga might be your best bet if you want something light and enjoyable. But if you have specific concerns about your oral health or posture, myofunctional therapy could be the way to go. You might want to check out https://www.exercise.com/grow/best-martial-arts-software/ for some resources on both options.
