Expansion may make your face look shorter and wider in the middle, yes.

Don't know for the chin. Maybe It could become more projected because, through expansion, maxilla height will reduce, allowing the mandible to swing up (projecting the chin forward)

I feel my mid face is too long and would look less long If I anc make it more wide .

I'm getting a palate expnder in January.

Reason is to open the airways so can breath better trough nose .

Having looked at before and after pics after palate expander I can't see the face any wider .

But I read study's saying it makes a noticable diffrence.
