Growth spurts are a thing which means bone can grow incredibly fast. Hypothetically could someone not get fast results?

I expanded at a rate of 1mm a week, so why can't the maxilla move up and forward at a race of 1mm per week? The expansion moves bones of the skull, and so does moving the maxilla. And people have growth spurts (even later than teens) where they add pounds of new flesh and inches of bone, why not in the skull? If the bone is supposed to move, the body should generate whatever tissue is needed to make it grow and move as fast as possible

That's an interesting question. And if you could answer it, you would solve a lot of people's problems very quickly. I'm not even sure what changes are made when the maxilla moves forward. Is it a suture thing? Or is it actual bone growth/resorption. When you expand the palate it's just breaking open a suture with physical force. It's a pretty simple concept. But for moving the maxilla forward? It seems like that would involve restructuring the entire facial anatomy from the bone to the soft tissue and everything in between.

But maybe it's possible. Have you looked into it further? I'm still on the expansion stage of my journey so I won't be worried about this until I'm done doing that.
