Anyone notice that during or immediately after exercise, if you push your tongue onto the roof of your mouth with some force you can feel radiating sensations at the hard palate? If you never noticed, I urge you try next time after you worked up a sweat or finished a couple sets of weights. Let me know your experience.
I use weights for bicep curls, primarily for the way my tongue expands laterally at the point my forearm passes through a few degrees above horizontal and secondarily to spread my shoulder girdle. I think the connection of the shoulder girdle to the palate is a close one, through the neck muscles, and that both are best expanded at the same time. I think the connections with all parts of the body are worth exploring and so all exercise is interesting. I do not look for the connection after taking exercise, but during it, for instance, I will practise yoga with the tongue as the primary focus. All poses change things at the tongue for me.
