In my eyes, theres two ways you can mew.

1: Making the tongue as compact as you can while you are mewing. This puts a lot more force on the maxilla, pushing it it up and forwards. However, You can not push as laterally anymore, making the width of the maxilla expand at a slower paste.

2: Widening the tongue and stretching it fully against the palate: applying force in all positive directions.

Personally I like the first one more, but with the second I start to get a lot of tongue space after only doing it for a few days. My alvelor ridges get wider, maybe its because Im still young. MA.

I’m curious to know how you guys do it.

Alternating between various ways of tongue posturing can be very useful. When the whole cranial structure is undergoing constant changes, you will end up having to readjust your posture on weekly basis anyway.
