Is there an objective means of telling if your alveolar ridge is undeveloped? If you've had extractions, for example, your front teeth are pushed back to fill the spaces and this may cause the recession of your alveolar ridge?

Wide nasolabial angle, retroclined incisors. And yes, extractions could mean underdeveloped alveolar ridge.
