I broke metal wire on my expander that's holding teeth in place. Any advice how to fix it?

As the tittle says, I was dumb enough to shake water off my expander while holding onto a metal wire that's inbetween my first and second premolar and I accidentally broke it. Is there any way to fix that? I don't want to spend another 200 euros, especially when I still didn't get to the point when I need to order a new one because of how much my oral space changed.

That being said, I just want to add that I'm going for a really slow expansion (I turn the screws every 3 days and I'm getting, as of now, a stable expansion) and since I'm doing it slowly I was thinking of leaving it that way and just going for atleast 1 or 2mm more before ordering a new one.

Another thing I noticed is that since I broke my wire my premolars were hurting a little bit more than usual, but it's back to normal now. I guess they are going to hurt a little bit more than usual tomorrow when I turn the screw again.

Soldering could fix it, but you need equipment for that. Also most hobby solders contain lead and I don't recommend putting that into your mouth.

You could also experiment with superglue. But other than that idk
