Gonna try with a shorter post, hopefully I can get some responses.
I've read up on all this as much as I can and I'm contemplating my next move. So far, I've noticed that I have a tongue tie, and maybe as a result, have a high-arching narrow palate. As such, I can barely reach my tongue to the roof of my mouth and attempting to keep it there results in headaches from neck tension. I can currently only pull on the hard palate and attempting a suction hold involving the soft palate as well is still very difficult, but I'm maybe seeing some progress there.
It's only in the recent years this has become a problem, which has coincided with increased computer usage and exacerbating poor posture. I'm 29 at the moment, and all the issues I've experienced have appeared at age 24-25 and gradually till now, so given what I've read, it should be reversible.
I assume my next move should be to try to get the tongue tie fixed, but then what? Should I be mewing focusing on pulling the maxilla down using a suction hold? Is there something I can do in the meantime until I can get surgery? If I keep working on proper tongue posture, is it possible that I will be able to keep my tongue at the roof of my mouth and at the very least keep my palate from collapsing further?
Lastly, I wanna point out that I'm doing this entirely because of headaches/migraines, facial tension/asymmetry, neck pain and vision problems I've accumulated over these last couple of years because of this. I'm not expecting vast changes to my appearance, nor do I really need them.
Additional info: I'm a side-sleeper, probably rounded upper back and shoulders/kyphosis that I'm trying to fix, including using face pulls. I also have 'military neck' meaning my cervical vertebrae are stacked in a straight line, which may or may not impact my ability to mew/suction properly. I'm trying to slowly restore curvature in my neck. I'm possibly dealing with some light scoliosis as well. EVERY SINGLE ISSUE has arisen within the last 5 years, before that I was as happy and as healthy as one can be.
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. I really need to figure this stuff out as I'm debilitated with migraines on the daily and my vision problems have reduced my ability to use a screen severely.
