I've been chewing mastic gum for a while now and I now find it has become too soft for me, and it is no longer offering any resistance to my jaw muscles (as they have gotten a lot stronger). Is there anything harder to chew?
I say either tongue chew it, drink a cold beverage in between, or just do nothing and keep chewing.
In the old forum someone told that a myofunctional therapist had given them latex surgical tubes to chew on. There is a variety of thicknesses available.
Also, you're probably good. It's not like humans used to chew literal bones or something. Anything harder than mastic gum was probably not consistently available to early humans
