Mewing (hard mewing) gave me a dorsal hump?

My nose was almost perfectly straight with a very minor dorsal hump but recently I've started hard-mewing 24/7 for the past week and have been exerting so much force that my thyroid has been burning with pain. As a result, I've also noticed that my dorsal hump became a lot bigger and I look much worse from the side.

I thought mewing makes your nose more straight because your maxilla pushes forward? This was the case for Reddit user helmutstrebl, but not for me I guess.

Anyone know where I should go from here?

What kind of forces were you applying with your tongue? Suction, push, both? Anterior palate or posterior palate+soft palate?

If what you say happened actually happened, just go back to your old technique

I think it's possible, I recall a girl who formed a hookish nose with a dorsal hump after mewing. She had other impressive changes but the hump formed as well.

I did a chin tuck+cheesy smile then swallow to suction hold, then push the back of the tongue as much and as hard as I can. I don't really have a proper technique, I just try to get the back up while hard mewing.

Really strange how some people's noses become straighter/pointer while others like mine become more crooked/hookish. I think I might be mewing wrong.

I think for some, it's actually in the cards if their maxilla is properly developed (hope it isn't for me though, since my maxilla is already recessed with a dorsal hump).

Look this forum up, I saw the case being discussed thoroughly somewhere but I cannot recall the name of the thread.

Your nose looks perfectly straight. That is not a hooked nose at all
