I've been mewing a couple of months but i've seen no results. What i had of facial recession have actually gotten worse. But i've later found out that this is most probably due to me not properly really correcting my forward head posture.
But as of today i have 2 problems regarding mewing
The first is about mewing with a deep bite. I have a deep bite but no reason to correct it as my teeth allign quite nicely. But im really not sure what would be the correct teeth alligment if mewing even can give results with a deep bite. It seems people go with diffrent approaches to this. Wether it be having no teeth contact, aligning the incisors, or jutting the jaw backwards to have the molars in contact. Or atleast these are the options it seems for me. If anyone have any info or experience regarding this it would be really helpfull.
Second is airway. If i try to engange the back of the tounge with the back of the roof of the mouth i cant breath at all with my nose. I've heard people saying that they've just forced their tounge up there and tried to breath with their nose untill the airway gets expanded. But im very confused about this in general as i've tried doing this and have seen no results.
Also im generally confused how far back you should have your tounge. I've also heard your supposed to have it as far back as making an "ng" sound. And if i do this i can breath trough my nose but if i have it further back, wich i've gotten the impresson your supposed to, i cant do it. Does anyone have any info regarding this?
