Lately as I've been using my schwartz expander, I've been feeling a soreness at the rear of my left temporal bone (close to where it meets the occipital and parietal bones). The soreness feels like a bruise, like someone hit my skull in that area.
When I take the expander out, the soreness goes away after a while, and comes back again when I use the expander again.
Anyone else experience something similar when using any type of transverse expander? Is there some type of mechanism of expanding the palate that could cause this phenomenon?
