How can we be sure that the sensations are real? In fact, we don’t always feel the same type of cracking or adjustments in the skull. It might start with a force in one specific area, then we feel a blockage, followed by a crack in another area. Each crack is different, and over time, new cracks appear in different places, unlocking sensations throughout the body. If we had simply wanted to feel a certain type of sensation and our mind had imagined it, there wouldn’t be periods like this where cracks first occur at the front of the skull, then at the back, in an unexpected way. Moreover, we wouldn’t be able to feel the effects of these adjustments on the body in such a detailed and unique manner. These effects are too precise to be attributed solely to the imagination.
But above all, with practice, we become increasingly skilled at feeling sensations inside the body. While at the beginning we might have had doubts about what we were feeling, over time we progressively become able to say with certainty that we are feeling one thing or another... A bit like someone listening to classical music who becomes more sensitive to the details of the sounds by training their ear.
