Hey guys,
I had a question about the tongue sweep. I made a post before which helped me a bit but I am still confused.
For reference, I can do the tongue-on-palate swallow a few times until it has been 15-20 seconds, when the saliva builds up underneath the tongue and I have to do a tongue sweep, and this makes me suck on my teeth. I believe it is normal to have to tongue sweep every 15-20 seconds, but I think it is wrong that I am sucking on my teeth during the tongue sweep since I thought sucking on the teeth is bad form and puts force on the teeth the wrong way.
Yes, I have noticed a bit more saliva than normal. Still, even if there were less, I would still need to do the swallow where I suck on my teeth slightly, although maybe less frequently. But I would still have the same problem. If I don't use any suction, the saliva won't get up above the tongue since it is not getting sucked up, so I can't swallow it. But if I do use suction, I can swallow the saliva but then also I feel suction on my front lips/teeth. It isn't much suction, and looking in the mirror it is not noticeable suction on my lips/teeth. But I am still wondering.
Do you guys end up sucking on your teeth when doing the tongue sweep? I can move my tongue and change the way it sweeps so that the suction is more on the front upper teeth, or balanced suction between the front upper and front bottom teeth, or mostly on the front bottom teeth. Still, I don't see how it is possible to maintain suction in the mouth and suck the saliva up on top of the tongue so it can be swallowed without suction on the lips/teeth also occuring.
Do any of you guys experience similar? Is there a way to tongue sweep without causing this suction on the teeth/lips? Thanks.

I know the sensation youre talking about ..its normal, atleast for me, I only experience it when I manually do a tongue-sweep-swallow with almost no saliva in my mouth. when theres enough saliva to swallow the sucking force I need feels so minimal. try with some water in your mouth and then with none, if you got nothing to swallow the tongue exceeds a lot more force and comes down further from the top of the palate giving off that sensation. As opposed to with saliva it the effort and force feels minimal.
Hey, so do you think this is a proper tongue sweep? Yeah, it seems like pretty light force, but I would prefer to not undo my progress at all. Even if it is only sucking in a bit I would want to avoid it if it is bad.
