I'm 22 and i'm considering jaw surgery. I have slightly crooked/crowded teeth but most importantly a deep bite and a recessed maxilla and a short mandible. I also have slight asymmetric bite and my right side is more developed than the left (cannot be seen on the scan). My CT scan: https://imgur.com/tOS7T5f
Right now i don't see better options than getting double jaw surgery. But i'd like to hear counter arguments. I've also read about possible downsides of jaw surgery on this forum. One claimed that jaw surgery might harm future forward growth as the nerves of the maxilla might get damaged, which are supposed to nourish the maxilla's growth. Plus not the whole maxilla is moved forward.
While i do mew, chew and work on my posture, i don't see how my case can be fixed without surgery.
There are some really great results when it does work out very well.
