Hi! I saw an image here in the forum that made me wonder something. Is it possible to apply force right after the front teeth to make them move upwards, resulting in a flatter palate? We can, of course, focus on the entire tongue, but it would be so beneficial in my case to have a flatter palatte. Just speculating: do you guys think that a flatter palate means less length to the face?
Need photos.
Of me? Why? I intend to post my pictures on this forum when I get results. I mean... it's just I'm wondering if mewing can move up my up front teeth and make my face look shorter.
when you push against the teeth you are going to creat a overbite my friend
when you widening the palate gets flatter this is how it work
Resting the tip of the tongue against the incisors certainly gives a lot of room for the posterior tongue to work properly, which can be very helpful in terms of overall body posture. I have found that if I keep my tip just at the border where the gumline ends and the incisors begin, my incisors begin to feel tingly and stimulated. I wonder if doing this in the long term would move the front teeth forward and thus flatten out the pre-maxillary area.
This user flattened his palate enough to disappear a torus palatinus. There might be some guidance for you here. /community/community/main-forum/so-my-torus-palatinus-is-disappearing-my-thoughts-speculations-and-excitement/#post-17768
@magsys I was confused because I don’t know where you mean flatter... I think I understand. Basically, you just want to know how palates and the shape and all this affects the face. Got it!
