Hello there,

I can't remember exactly where I have read/heard this, but have come across a few examples of where people claim that palatial expansion almost 'releases the pressure' on the pituitary gland and thus more hormones/testosterone is is released resulting in any of the below:

Deeper voice

More facial hair

More strength and muscle mass

Better metabolism

'Downstairs' gains ;-)

Any truth to this? Am asking as I will be getting an expander soon (bracesshop confirmed yesterday appliance is ready to ship to me) and while I am after the more obvious changes (high arch dropping, better breathing, forward growth, snoring reduction, wider arch) I wouldn't say no to any of the above.

Just a discussion point until my expander arrives (which BTW I will be documenting on here for those that are interested).

Thanks

I've never heard of such a thing. But that makes sense.

I have the beard of a caveman, and a fast metabolism. I do not have a deep voice though, and I've wondered about my testosterone levels. I'm planning on having them tested next month.

Men in the West have much lower testosterone levels, and our sperm counts are dropping rapidly. I assumed it was primarly plastics, plastics are endocrine disruptors and screw up your hormones, but it seems unlikely that the problem has a single source.

Now that I think of it, Apnea is connected with lower testosterone levels.
