Went to an orthodontist to see if they could expand my palate for I believe it is narrow and when I put the back of my tongue in the palate I can't breath.

From what I understood his analysis of me, he told me that my upper front teeth block my lower front teeth from setting in the correct place which causes my mandible to go backwards, also causing TMJ problems.

In the X-ray you can see my upper front tooth are more forward than my lower front teeth.

He also said the my upper-last molar teeth were in the correct place but the rest of my upper teeth had slide into my palate and his solution was to use braces to move the teeth into the correct place in the dental arch.

As you can see, because my teeth have come into my palate, when I smile, it create a little gap in the corners of my mouth.

What really bothered me was that he believed that the only time the tongue should be in the roof of your mouth is when you swallow.

Here are some more pictures just in case it helps you see a bigger picture.

What are your thoughts on this and what would you think on doing if you were in my shoes. Besides the obvious keep mewing answer. Which I do, even do I can't breath sometimes.
