I am in my early 16's, and found out about mewing. I followed up watching many orthotropic videos and presentations about this subject and it fascinated me. Before I found out the tip of my tongue usually rested behind my two top teeth and the rest of my tongue, layed down. I am also, a nose breather and don't keep my mouth open. The results after 3 days- Before, very up close you could see my two front teeth misaligned, (You couldn't notice unless you really payed attention up close.) in length. But I just realized the angle one grew minutely at a greater/lesser angle than the other. This was actually changed after short time of mewing. I suspect from me not putting pressure on the back of my teeth. Btw I have never had anything done like braces or mouth work, I also don't go to the dentist at all and have nice teeth. Another result, Idk how this is possible but it seems my nostrils are smaller or less flared. That is what it seems, it might be perception with face change around the nose since I have been trying to lose a little weight but only like few pounds and then getting more toned, but as a person who looks in the mirror every day it really does look like a slimmer nose. I am diagnosed with asthma but, it is controlled and hasn't effected me in 5 years. I mention this because when I started mewing correctly, the back of the tongue does block airway a little if you haven't done it before and sometimes i can feel pressure at the bottom sides of my neck when trying to back tongue pressure, idk if mewing made me use less force breathing in air with the nose and out, maybe? I am not a heavy breather and my nose breathing is always inaudible though when passively moving. Current things happening while I try to mew - Well I have looked at all the videos of others trying and instructions to make sure im doing it right. When mouth closed and teeth together, the left side of my tongue seems to have less space than the right and wants to move towards my left gap(like in between the back of teeth). This might be the pallet being uneven or - one side of face more tight than the other? But this does sometimes case my teeth to bite on the very side of my tongue, it is not too bad though. Other things I have tried to do with this subject of health and resting posture, is having better back posture and doing the back and buttocks against the wall, with sliding my head up, and chin inwards to make double chins.

Consider asking your parents if they can link you up with a myofunctional therapist. There are also online ones
