I recently watched a plastic surgeon for the stars and he said that a longer face for a woman is more attractive and pretty, as opposed to square and short one, which I think is what mewing wants to accomplish?? I thought I agreed with him when I looked at the before and after pictures.  Perhaps a short and square face is good on men.  I noticed my own face getting shorter while mewing, and didn't like it.. at all.  I also noticed my eye sockets kind of disappear, I don't know why.  I think a shorter face can also make you look like you have a  longer or bigger nose unless mewing tones up the nose?  I lessened the upward pressure, as a result,  everywhere, and now my tongue is just relaxed on top and naturally expanded to the sides, my lips are always closed. I don't need to think about it anymore since, and I think it's getting better.. It feels natural. It didn't feel natural to put pressure on. It really sucks that there is so many people giving different instruction, as well.  There was a time someone said to have some space between the teeth, and now I can't close my jaw so my back molars touch anymore. I hope this comes back.
