This woman wanted to help herself... Look at the 1:20 mark of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npmIxbYVyq4

Pictures don't tell you everything... video does, though. So... She did some research and came up with SARPE.
I would have done Dr. Sue Lee's device, except that it's so new to the scene... there's no way this would have been known back then. You can see her maxilla is all angled in and there is mid-facial height. You can look at some after vids and realize that they just are not educated to newer, better options. SARPE didn't do much of anything for the mid-facial height length (long)... what was needed was palatal reshaping... not adding more surface area to it. You'll see what I mean. I've never actually seen a before/after SARPE video. This was enlightening. Her gums are clearly indicative of the palate being too tall where the gums are dropped down and in. This needs to be resolved not by adding palatal volume... and not by braces (only orthodontic)... but orthopedic reshaping.
This is what her palate looked like... See 4:26 of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npmIxbYVyq4&t=20s
See how it was actually taller toward the front? That's why the gums curved down in that area.
I know that the mid-facial shortening of such small amount doesn't seem to really matter... but if you watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC_sjWV-zhc you'll see the difference of 1 mm.
