Am I imagining things if I feel my front teeth already have more room after 3 days?

I read about mewing on the FB of The Guardian, read up on it and started doing it. This was Saturday. Yesterday I added some tongue chewing, chewing regular gum but with my tongue. I was just doing that and now I feel that my upper front teeth seem to press together a bit less. Is this possible? Will they recent back? I’ll keep doing it. I’m 37 so hadn’t really expected much.

What do you mean 'the front teeth have more room'? Doesn't make any sense to me. 🙄 😡

It's the palate that should have more room

Teeth moving at that speed usually cause pain in the periodontal ligament (gum surrounding teeth) just like braces do. That's because the gum tissue gets pressed hard against the teeth and causes the pain. If you think your teeth moved that fast but did not experience pain it's mostly likely that you just started noticing something that was always there or maybe your oral muscles are closing your jaws a little differently.
