Assymmetrical Mandible lenght

My right jaw mandible (the length from my earlobe to the jaw angle) is longer and more flared out then the left one, It looks better then left. Which is less pronounced. Will this mess with my mewing results? Or Can this be fixed (as in equal jaw size) with mewing. Can someone give me some advice about this?

All opinions welcome.

Now that's a really intersting thought... a use for lopsided jaws resulting from mewing.🤔  Best to look for root cause.  I would get a CBCT to check condyle posotioning... one might be slipped downward? Have you been to a doctor?  There are some that I might recommend based on your location.  The more information the better for you to know!

Mewing and correct body posture along with neck posture will eventually move increase your rammus length (earlobe - jaw angle <-- in your words).

For me they got more symmetrical, which is mainly from chewing and neck/head posture I believe.

Thanks for the reply.

I just recently started mewing, the shorter rammus lenght (earlobe to jaw angle) on the left side was already a thing before starting. Is this something that needs to be checked out? If so, who would you recommend? I live in the Netherlands, in the province Noord Brabant, region Eindhoven.

So you are saying correct mewing/posture/chewing will result in the left and Right rammus becoming the same size and symmetrical to each other?

You should always mew ofcourse, but for me: I have seen my Rammus length increase simply from maintaining perfect body posture.

chewing has helped alot too by encouraging bone growth thru the activation of the jaw muscles and neck muscles if you've got perfect posture. I've also noticed that from chewing my wisdom teeth has been coming out of the gum more.

This is how I maintain my posture, it was very awkward at first, but now it's almost automatically.

It's not a problem to look down to your phone as long as the back of your neck is straight.

try these 4 things in combinations:

1. Rotate pelvis, it's the same as sticking your butt out and your crotch area should point to the floor, not forward. This will cause a sway in your back though thats when you add in point 2 to correct the sway in your spine.

2. Contract your upper abs, don't tense them but suck them in and then hold them. This will cause your ribcage to rotate the same way as your pelvis and removing the sway in your lower back.

3. Keep your shoulders back but not too far back, just so that they're not rounded and so that the veins running from your chest through the shoulder to the arms are not restricted by the rounded shoulder.

4. You'll notice that each step makes it easier to do the other step. So the last step is the neck straight above the shoulders, when you do this you'll notice that your head moves perfectly the way we want it. Now you can look down on your phone as much as you want.  (it'll be awkward at first and you'll have a double chin, but that's temporarily it'll go away once your mandible angle improves and moves forward)

5. and then as a finisher mewing, ofcourse.

when you're relaxing or standing try to put your body weight on your heels, not your toes.

EDIT:

When you're breathing keep the upper abs like that too, because this will make you breath more from your chest rather than your stomach. It'll give more room to the organs below the ribcage over time, because your breathing moves you up and down (Ribcage) rather than in and out with your stomach.

It really depends on CBCT how to address... I have no evidence that Mewing is going to do anything for unilaterally changing bone dimensions... I do see evidence of surgery doing this, though:

Don't listen too much to this guy ^ to be honest, he seems to want immediate results and the lack of the immediatly favourable results scared him off and now he's on a tangent about how bad mewing is. Eventhough he doesn't back up his claim for why mewing is bad, all he really says is that there's no evidence that mewing can fix everything.

You might start to see unfavourable results or assymetries in the begin, but aslong as you're doing everything the right way, then it'll even out eventually. I've had moment where I'd feel like mewing was messing up the symmetry but I just pushed thru it and things are starting to even out.
