I have been mewing for more than 3 months now. Initially my upper palate expanded very fast and spread out wide. Which resulted in bones protuding out of zygomatic area making my upper palate very wide and my upper face expanded giving my face a v shape. I thought i could correct it by mewing more. Slowly and slowly my upper palate expanded more making me look thinner due to which i felt bad. Then, i noticed that the right side of my face looks bigger and outwards than left one and, i felt that my left part of tongue was touching the upper palate while the right part of tongue couldnt even reach the palate until forced. This cause me to think, i should push my left part of tongue against palate harder since i can feel it. This caused even more asymmetry. I started to notice that my upper palate has actually rotated. My right eye is higher than left one. My right side of jaw is lifted up. My whole face seems like rotated . Now i am having difficulty even to put my tongue at the top. I have to keep it slanted which is very difficult. My teeth configuration seems worse. Creating difficulty to even close my mouth properly . Now i have got a v shape face, with my jaw and palate rotated to one side, diffuculty in placing my tongue. I feel very sad, earlier i looked much more good. I feel like i wish time could turn back, or someone would have warned me. Just help me how can i correct this asymmetry this is not just for beauty but because of the discomfort i feel while placing my tongue and keeping teeths closed. Please help... anything which can help in correcting asymmetry wud be appreciated.

Also dont close your teehts, thats not natural. Just have them slightly touched or even slightly appart

Post pictures if you want people to help you..

Honestly if youre assymetric after mewing you probably were assymetric before aswell. Just not as noticeable. What happens when youre assymetric is that you Will put more pressure on the more developed side, Which makes it expand first and more noticeably.

I have a crossbite and, even tho ive seen results, it has brought my assymetries forward. My lower jaw os looser and decompressed, my bite continually shifts and my right side, Which was the regular One, has expanded more then the left.

Thing is, im pretty sure that if we keep on mewing, the underdeveloped side of the palate Will catch up after the most developed side hits its "natural limit". At least im starting to feel the ability to put my tongue on the posterior left part of the palate much better.

Giveit time id say.

Also.. your lower jaw may have decompressed and made your "old bite" feel weird and constricted.

Or you can do what i did and search for any orthodontist who offers orthopedic appliances for adults.

I have the exact same results as you.

Ive been mewing for roughly 9 months now, and i have some good and bad improvements.

Overall my maxilla is pushed forward now, and my jawline is more defined.

I feel like my right eye is higher than the other and my right cheek is more defined now, seems like it has only taken affect on the right side of my face lol

idk if i should stop mewing or keep going

Asymmetry may be bone related but remember bone is moved by muscle. So work on aligning your face with your muscles first. Bone will follow.

True, same, I chew more at my right side. There was a time I only chew on one side bcs it felt simpler and less disgusting. As a kid I didn't know bones are so sensitive. Now it's totally normal for me to chew on both sides, plus I try to chew more at the left, even tho that's less comfortable.

Also I always look at my phone in my right hand. Especially when lying on the bed in a planking position. And I recently noticed that my neck is not straight from it, bcs assymetry of muscles, the way I held my head maybe. So thanks for the reminder!
