At what rate can the maxilla be brought forwards while hardmewing (+working on posture, chewing)? Did Mike Mew ever mention?
I'm going the braces+double jaw surgery route. The surgery is in a year and my surgeon said he would bring the maxilla forwards by about 5mm. It would be nice if i could achieve that expansion in a year so i'd only need lower jaw surgery.
Personally... I tried Mewing and my maxilla retruded a bit. Also, got curve of spee. Are you teeth abundantly crowded? Some things like DNA can move the incisors forward... not sure how many mm. I just posted about facemask recently in another post. I can't say in your case. I have slightly crowded and inner inclined teeth. I've found an "aesthetic dentist" in Germany that suggests DNA+FAGGA though i haven't been there myself.
I don't see how DNA can magically let bone grow. There are no X ray scans ot be found on the internet of the DNA appliance. All result photos are sketchy.
The Fagga seems to bring the maxilla forwards but only forwards. So if the maxilla is downswung it will result in a longer face. My maxilla is downswung unfortunately.
