I want to say first and foremost that asymmetry in your face stems from asymmetry in your body. And hence mewing in an improper way, or mewing with improper body posture will just create more issues or further exacerbate existing asymmetry.  I have assymetric bite (right lower teeth higher than left lower teeth) and hence assymetric lower jaw (right jaw higher than left jaw).

I was looking at this article and what happened was, i started mewing maybe 6 months ago very hard but incorrectly, as i was clenching my teeth. Before this, I was not aware that body posture effects facial development so I was mewing without fixing my body posture and hence getting no results. My body posture was messed up, right shoulder forwards and down tugging my head to the right a little and my right hip was slightly behind my left hip.  I have felt my tongue always only be able to press up against the left side of my palate and not enough space for right side. So when I started mewing hard, I only exacerbated existing asymmetry. By clenching, I also caused my bite to become severely misaligned so that right lower teeth is much higher than my left lower teeth and consequently my right lower jaw is much higher than my left lower jaw. My lower teeth midline is to the left of my upper teeth midline. My face has become lopsided

Part of the problem for me is since my bite is misaligned, if I try to mew with my teeth together, it further creates problems. So should i try to mew with teeth slightly apart... that way the force isn't going into teeth (making bite worse) but rather into palate?

And about fixing this misaligned bite, is it okay to see an orthodontist or should i see an orthotropist? orthodontist is closeby but Orthotropist is 1 hour away...

Please advise me
