Although I understand that bimaxillary protrusion is really just the forward inclination of the upper and lower front teeth, I seem to have it myself. How can I go about fixing this problem?

Palate expansion. It gives your mandible more room to slide forward to maintain occlusion so your teeth will fit better.
Also practice on using light suction to maintain a lip closure. The lips will over time position the incisors correctly while the palate expands outwards.
Yes, this seems to be a good protocol. The reason it concerns me is because I have a straight nose, yet protruding lips, which makes my nasolabial angle acute, (like about 85 degrees).
