I can't quite put my word of it, but recently something has been bothering me. I've developed a kind of a weird yucky substance that is constantly flowing downwards in the back of my throat somewhere from my upper posterior nasal region. Never had this happen before during all these years of my mewing experience.

It tastes kind of metallic, maybe even LSD-like. It also feels kind of electrically stunning if that makes sense? Almost like the nerves around it are unresponsive.

I know it kinda sounds crazy. Also it's not saliva, at least I don't think it is, it feels more like some form of mucus.

Based on it's characteristics I would go as far as claiming it might be sinus fluid AKA diluted mucus. Cerebro-spinal fluid is supposedly salty, so I doubt that's it since I taste no salt to it whatsoever.

I've noticed ever since this started happening my nasal breathing has become unobstructed 24/7, there's this dryish feeling to my nose now.

Anyone ever experienced something like this? For context I believe I've been able to move my posterior palate downwards because I've been experimenting with some variations of mewing.

Post-nasal drip? Some kind of a detox reaction?

Doesn't line up with the symptoms. It's clear and watery. It doesn't go to my nose at all, if anything my nose feels drier. There is no coughing or wheezing. And it's not unpleasant.

As for a detox reaction, I haven't been sick recently, diet is the same.

It may very well be a detox symptom.

I get that alot after big runs. Specially on my left side, which is underdeveloped and has a bigger tonsil and thus more prone to "infection".

I still smoke at night so, smokers know alot about sinus and yucky feelings.

It went away after like three weeks.

I looked up this post, as I recently has been experiencing the same thing. This has very clearly correlated with some changes I made to my oral posture. My right nostril, which has been obstructed since many years due to a deviated septum, has finally opened up completely. Shortly after I started feeling like something was flowing, very subtly, from back of my nasal cavity down my throat. Opposite to you, my substance has no taste. I haven't felt any of these electrical sensations you speak of, but some some dryness/irritation:

Like that. A bit like when one has caught a cold and been sneezing a lot, or been gulping water when swimming. I think it is a little irritating, but it sure is worth the ability to breathe properly again! I suspect the substance is the result of expansion taking place, which has made breathing through the impacted nostril possible again. As the nostril has started filtering air again, mucus is being exerted by the mucus membrane as response, since something in the body feel it is time again to use the nostril. If that makes any sense?

Very interesting; I noticed this tonight too - I had a metallic taste randomly come up and then my nose and throat felt bone dry, as if a cold was coming on, but now both seem to be gone. I've been doing the holographic breathing for a decent amount of the day for a little while now.
