People who are recessed have high palates, and most people are recessed. There's a degree to how high or vaulted your palate is depending on how wide your arch and how recessed you are. You do not seem bad at all. You have a high palate compared to the second skull in the video linked below but it isn't really anything special or something you should worry about if you're trying to mew, unless it's so constricting and your palate is so small it is nigh impossible to get your tongue in there, which doesn't seem to be your case.

Most people are like the first skull, but worse. So your options are expand through the tongue or expand through appliances (AGGA and/or MSE are probably the best options). I find that it feels like im not getting the entirety of my tongue on my palate. Is this due from my palate being too high? Based on this picture of my palate, do you guys have any advice to get the entire tongue on to the palate? 

I think you are good.  Palate looks deep/flat.  I'd call it quits.  The problem with widening with tongue is it literally as a mucles grows!  Your teeth look darned awesome!  The tonge may need to atrophe?
