After practicing for a while, I noticed that while I have space behind my top wisdom teeth, there has been little difference in the positioning of my lower teeth (wisdom teeth still inside the gum). I wore braces up until the start of high school, and I feel like that may have been why the lower half of my face was a bit recessed. Mewing pushes the upper palate up and forward, but how does the lower set of teeth move along with them? Other than pushing up on the roof of the mouth, are there any other useful exercises?

Thanks.

The mandible follows the maxilla. It can essentially repositioning itself wherever the maxilla goes due to its nature. The teeth don't have to shift position whatsoever in theory.

Imagine jutting your jaw forward. This is what the mandible does (plus upswing) to meet the new maxillary position.
