I saw this comment from @Progress in another post ( /community/community/main-forum/craniofacial-dystrophy-and-height/):
Now what is interesting is the question: can adults gain additional height after reversing craniofacial dystrophy & allowing pituitary gland to function optimally? I have read speculative claims that the flood of hormones from a freed pituitary could temporarily re-open growth plates, leading to a couple of inches of growth. Plato claims to have grown 2 inches from facepulling. Patient zero/Ian claims three inches. One guy from breakthematrix told that he had grown about the same amount upon expanding palate. All of these individuals were 25+ years of age as far as I know. Whether these changes came from postural improvements, or actual bone growth, who knows? I have "grown" 1,5cm /0,7" by fixing posture. 3" seems quite a lot from postural improvement alone.
It seems very far-fetched and I never heard about it before, but I would actually like to believe it(gives me even more motivation). The positioning of the jaws seems to have such an incredible impact, far more than just the outwards appearence, like on personality, behaviour, health, voice and even height.
The reason I'm asking is because my maxilla is way too short vertically(combined with a large tongue) to the point where not only my appearence suffers but also my health. Besides surgery, there seems to be only facepulling as an alternative method, in my case, to develop a normal healthy upper and lower jaw position. I can imagine that surgery is inferior to facepulling in terms of effects on the whole body (everything is connected) because it's more natural. What I mean is that a bimax also probably wouldn't have any effect on height(otherwise we would know), but for someone who has cranofacial dystrophy bringing the maxilla "naturally" for/downward results in much more than just the "local" change. So I'm not sure at this point if I should go for bimax in the next months(quicker fix but less possible benefits) or rather continue facepulling, attached to MSE.(longer time but more possible benefits)
A possible height growth of ~5cm alone would definitely speak for continuing facepulling over surgery.
Does anyone know about @Plato, @PatientZero or any other guy who really grew in height from facepulling (and their story)?
